Members of the Books & Pieces Storybook Subscription get three new books for their 0-5 year-olds through the post each month.
Whether you’re a current subscriber, or you’re looking to join, these FAQs should cover everything you need to know about this brilliant value children’s books subscription service…
How does the Storybook Subscription work?
The Storybook Subscription is a children’s books subscription service for 0-5 year-olds and their families. When you join you’ll receive three new books through the post each month as well as activity ideas sent to you by email.
If you sign up during the launch period you’ll be locked into the special low price of £11.99 per month for as long as you stay subscribed. There’s no extra charge for postage, and the retail value of the books each month will typically range from £15 to £25, so you’re getting a great deal.
How do you choose the books?
I combine my 7+ years of reading with little people, plus an eye for a book parents will also like, to put together a combination of books the whole family will enjoy. I’ve helped 100s of families find books they love, so you can buy from me in confidence.
Can you tell me which books I’ll receive?
I don’t reveal the books before they’re posted – everyone likes a surprise, right? – but, I will post details of previous subscription sets so if you’re thinking of signing up you can see the fantastic books subscribers have received in the past.
When will I receive the books?
I send the books on their way on the first Wednesday of each month. I use Royal Mail second class to keep the costs low for everyone, so they should be with you on Friday of that week, or Saturday at the very latest.
What if I’ve already got one of the books?
I purposely choose brilliant books that you may not have come across before, but if you find you’ve doubled up on a book you already have, you might want to re-gift it or leave a copy at a relative’s house. If you get a duplicate more than once during your subscription drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do.
What email address will you send the activity ideas to?
I will send the monthly activity email to the address you registered with the order. If you’re buying it as a gift, the recipient will receive an invite in their first delivery to sign up to the activity email.
Can I send the Storybook Subscription as a gift?
Of course you can. I’ve got 3, 6 and 12 month gift packages to choose from. The first month’s package will be sent gift-wrapped with a personal note from you. If you’d prefer to give it to them yourself, just leave a message in the order notes and I’ll send you the first package instead.
How do I pay?
I use Stripe to manage card payments for the Storybook Subscription. Choose Storybook Subscription on my website and follow the prompts to purchase.
When will you take payments?
Your first payment is made on the day you place your order and following payments are taken every 30 days for as long as you stay subscribed.
I’ve changed my postal / email address – how do I let you know?
Just drop me a message via the contact form or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org letting me know your new details. Don’t forget to give me your full name and registered address so I make sure I amend the right account!
I‘d like to change the subscription
That’s not a problem, and as your child (and family) grows, I’d expect that. Just drop me a message via the contact form, or email me letting me know which package you’d like to change to, and I’ll do the rest.
How do I end my subscription?
I’ll be sorry to see you go, but if you’ve decided to finish the subscription you can simply cancel your standing order with your bank.
If you’re thinking of leaving because the books are no longer age appropriate, just drop me a message and I can move you onto either the 3-5 years or mixed age package.
